Abstract

Training is education that focuses on the skills of participants to prepare and strengthen themselves to enter the world of work in which they will be engaged. This study aims to determine (1) the professional competence possessed by instructors in babysitter training at LPK Citra Kenanga, (2) the role of instructor professional competence in increasing the learning motivation of trainees at LPK Citra Kenanga, (3) the role of instructor professional competence in increasing readiness caregiver work at LPK Citra Kenanga. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation, as well as using data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data collection, and drawing conclusions. The research data source consisted of 10 people, namely 1 institution manager, 2 babysitter training instructors, and 7 babysitter training participants. The results of the study show that: (1) babysitter training instructors at LPK Citra Kenanga already have professional competence in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 90 of 2014, (2) instructors have an important role, one of which is to increase learning motivation as indicated by making participants active in learning, creating a conducive classroom atmosphere, creating varied learning methods, and increasing enthusiasm, (3) the instructor has the task of providing learning provisions to participants by helping participants understand themselves, get to know their work, develop positive attitudes, and conduct competency tests skill.

Additional Information: Pelatihan merupakan pendidikan yang berfokus pada skill peserta untuk mempersiapkan dan memantapkan diri untuk terjun ke dunia kerja yang mereka akan tekuni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kompetensi profesional yang dimiliki oleh instruktur pada pelatihan babysitter di LPK Citra Kenanga, (2) peran kompetensi profesional instruktur dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta pelatihan di LPK Citra Kenanga, (3) peran kompetensi profesional instruktur dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja tenaga pengasuh di LPK Citra Kenanga. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta menggunakan teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, pengumpulan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sumber data penelitian terdiri dari 10 orang, yaitu 1 orang pengelola lembaga, 2 orang instruktur pelatihan babysitter, dan 7 orang peserta pelatihan babysitter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) instruktur pelatihan babysitter di LPK Citra kenanga sudah memiliki kompetensi profesional yang sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 90 Tahun 2014, (2) instruktur memiliki peran penting salah satunya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar yang ditunjukkan dengan menjadikan peserta aktif dalam belajar, menciptakan suasana kelas kondusif, menciptakan metode pembelajaran bervariasi, dan meningkatkan antusias, (3) instruktur memiliki tugas untuk memberikan bekal pembelajaran kepada peserta dengan cara membantu memahami diri peserta, mengenal pekerjaannya, mengembangkan sikap positif, dan melakukan uji kompetensi keahlian.
