Abstract
Introduction Indonesia is a country with a relatively high level of vulnerability to disasters. From an astronomical and geographical perspective, Indonesia's territory is located on the equator at 95̊ E - 141̊ E and 6̊ N - 11̊ S, this makes Indonesia in a tropical area with high rainfall and temperatures. Flood disaster is one of the disasters that occurs every year in Indonesia and ranks first of the three disasters that frequently hit Indonesia in 2016. The implementation of flood disaster management is very much needed from community and government participation to the fullest extent possible in order to empower lokal potential and resources. Knowledge about flood disaster management should be provided to the community so that the community understands and knows the prevention, preparedness, emergency response, and recovery that are very much needed by the community. Method This study used a pre-experimental research design with a pre-test – post-test randomized experimental desigen (experimental group & control group). This research was conducted by giving a pre-test, then given an intervention. After the intervention, the Post-test was given again. The sample technique that will be used in this study is consecutive sampling. With a total sample of 49 people. Results The results of the post-test, the majority of the experimental group experienced an increase in value by 52 respondents (94.5%), while the control group experienced an increase of 49 respondents (89.09%). From the results of the Wilcoxon test in this study it has a significant value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion There is a significant effect of providing flood disaster management education on the level of flood disaster preparedness knowledge in the community. Additional Information: | Latar Belakang Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan daerah tingkat kerentanan terhadap bencana cukup tinggi. Dari segi astronomis dan geografis, wilayah Indonesia terletak di garis khatulistiwa pada 95̊ BT - 141̊ BT dan 6̊ LU - 11̊ LS, hal ini membuat Indonesia berada pada wilayah tropis dengan curah hujan dan suhu tinggi. Bencana banjir merupakan salah satu bencana yang terjadi setiap tahun di Indonesia dan menempati urutan pertama dari tiga bencana yang sering melanda Indonesia pada tahun 2016. Pelaksanaan penanggulangan bencana banjir sangat diperlukan dari partisipasi masyarakat dan pemerintah dengan semaksimal mungkin guna memberdayakan potensi dan sumber daya setempat. Pengetahuan mengenai penanggulangan bencana banjir sudah seharusnya di berikan kepada masyarakat agar masyarakat memahami dan mengetahui pencegahan, kesiapsiagaan, tanggap darurat, serta pemulihan yang sangat diperlukan bagi masyarakat. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pra-eksperimental dengan jenis rancangan yaitu pre-test – post-test randomized experimental desigen (experimental group & control group). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan Pre-test, kemudian diberikan intervensi. Setelah dilakukan intervensi, kemudian diberikan lagi Post-test. Teknik sample yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah consecutive sampling. Dengan jumlah sample sebanyak 49 responden. Hasil Hasil post-test, mayoritas kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan nilai sebanyak 52 responden (94,5%), sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 49 responden (89,09%). Dari hasil uji Wilcoxon pada penelitian ini memiliki nilai signifikan 0,000 (<0,05). Kesimpulan Terdapat pengaruh pemberian edukasi penanggulangan bencana banjir yang signifikan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada masyarakat.
