Abstract

ABSTRACT Name : Hendi Yunus Siregar Nim : 5553091631 Judul : Analyze the effect of Government Expenditure and population to Economic Growth in Banten Province ( A Case Study in 4 Regency /2 Cities at Province Of Banten). The focus of this study describe relation between government expenditure, and population and economic growth. The purpose of this study observe the effect of government expenditure and population to the gross regional domestic product growth of regency and municipality in Banten Province from the years 20012011. This research is quantitative descriptive with multiple regression andpanel data method. The research show that government capital expenditure is statistically significant to effect the gross regional domestic product growth. Government Operational expenditure is statistically significant to effect the gross regional domestic product growth. Population is statistically not significant to effect the gross regional domestic product growth. This study uses secondary data consisting of the data from the years 20012011 were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Banten Province. This analysis method is the method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model with Fixed Effect on Panel Data. Based on the results of the regression, the variable government capital expenditureand a significant positive effect on the alpha 5 percent to effect the gross regional domestic product growth, Government Operational expenditure variable and a significant positiveon the alpha 5 percent to effect the gross regional domestic product growth, and Population is statistically not significant positive to effect the gross regional domestic product growth. Calculated F value of 0.920431 to 0,000000 probability of less than 5 percent alpha, so it was concluded that the three independent variables, namely Government capital expenditure, Government Operational Expenditureand populationto effect the gross regional domestic product growth. R v 2 0.920431 value of indicates that 92,043 percent of the gross regional domestic product growth variation can be explained by both the leading independent variable.
