Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the effect of work motivation and job satisfaction on employees through work discipline as an intervening variable at the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia, Banten Province. This research method uses quantitative research with a saturated population and sample of 152 employees with the characteristics of being organic employees who have worked for at least two years. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of a combination of closed answers on an interval scale of 1-10 with the help of the Jotform application and then processed and compiled into data frequency tabulations which were then analyzed using the SmartPLS 4 program. The results of the research based on validity and reliability tests showed that the data was valid and reliable. Based on the direct and indirect hypothesis testing that (1) Work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance has a sample value of 0.203 and P Values of 0.005 less than 0.05. (2) Job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.305 and P Values of 0.005, less than 0.05. (3) Work motivation has a significant positive effect on work discipline has a sample value of 0.369 and P Values of 0.000, less than 0.05. (4) Job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on work discipline with a sample value of 0.260 and P values of 0.005, less than 0.05. (5) Work discipline has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.367 and P Values of 0.000, less than 0.05. (6) Work motivation through work discipline has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.135 and P Values of 0.008, less than 0.05. (7) Job satisfaction through work discipline has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.096 and P Values of 0.015, less than 0.05.

Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk kombinasi jawaban tertutup skala interval 1-10 dengan bantuan aplikasi jotform kemudian diolah serta disusun kedalam tabulasi frekuensi data yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan program SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji validitas dan realibilitas menunjukkan bahwa data sudah valid dan reliable. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis langsung dan tidak langsung bahwa (1) Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai memiliki nilai sample 0.203 dan P Values 0.005 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (2) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai memiliki nilai sample 0.305 dan P Values 0.005 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (3) Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja memiliki nilai sample 0.369 dan P Values 0.000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (4) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja memiliki nilai sample 0.260 dan P Values 0.005 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (5) Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai memiliki nilai sample 0.367 dan P Values 0.000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (6) Motivasi kerja melalui disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai memiliki nilai sample 0.135 dan P Values 0.008 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (7) Kepuasan kerja melalui disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai memiliki nilai sample 0.096 dan P Values 0.015 lebih kecil dari 0,05.
