Abstract
Urea fertilizer usually have a rapid released of nutrients. Control Release Fertilizer is a fertilizer that have functions to control or slow down the release of nutrient elements for plant growth. The superabsorbent hydrogel combination of carrageenan-glucomannan and carrageenan-chitosan milkfish scales is one of the nanotechnologies in agriculture field that has the ability to absorb liquids and hold them. This study aims to determine the characteristics and influence of the concentration of the crosslinked solution of the hydrogel matrix, as well as determine the speed of release of urea hydrogel superabsorbent carrageenanglucomannan and carrageenan-chitosan scales of milkfish by the method of crosslinking on water and soil media. The production of hydrogel from Carrageenan Seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii, glucomannan Ammorphopallus Konjac and Chitosan from milkfish scales is made through several stages process method which is isolation of chitosan from milkfish scales, making hydrogel by crosslinking method, as well as the testing stage swelling ratio using gravimetric analysis, gel fraction, FT-IR, SEM, and urea release. The results showed that carrageenan-glucomannan and carrageenan-chitosan hydrogels have different characteristics. The best glutaraldehyde concentration from this study is obtained at 8% in both carrageenan-glucomannan and carrageenan-chitosan variations of milkfish scales. The best variation based on the combination of ingredients is obtained on carrageenan-glucomannan hydrogel with 8% glutaraldehyde concentration. The utilization of carrageenan-glucomannan hydrogels and chitosan carrageenan is effectively used as control release fertilizer. This can be seen from the best controlled urea release occurring in soil media, with the concentration of urea released carrageenan-glucomannan hydrogel is 0.192; 0.388; 0.658; 1,000; 2,704; 3,129; and 4.113% and in carrageenan-chitosan hydrogel the concentration of urea released was 1.037; 1,729; 2,675; 3,167; 5,604; 6,254; and 7,092%.

Control Release Fertilizer adalah pupuk yang berfungsi untuk mengendalikan atau memperlambat pelepasan unsur-unsur nutrien bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Hidrogel superabsorben kombinasi antara karagenan-glukomanan dan karagenan-kitosan sisik ikan bandeng menjadi salah satu nanoteknologi bidang pertanian yang mempunyai kemampuan menyerap cairan dan menahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik dan pengaruh konsentrasi larutan crosslinked matriks hidrogel, serta menentukan kecepatan pelepasan urea hidrogel superabsorben karagenan-glukomanan dan karagenan-kitosan sisik ikan bandeng dengan metode crosslinking pada media air dan tanah. Pembuatan hidrogel dari karagenan Rumput Laut Kappaphycus alvarezii, glukomanan Ammorphopallus Konjac dan Kitosan dari sisik ikan bandeng dilakukan melalui tahapan metode proses, yaitu isolasi kitosan dari sisik ikan bandeng, pembuatan hidrogel dengan metode crosslinking, serta tahap pengujian swelling ratio menggunakan analisa gravimetri, fraksi gel, FT-IR, SEM, dan pelepasan urea. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa hidrogel karagenan-glukomanan dan karagenan-kitosan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda. Variasi konsentrasi glutaraldehid terbaik dari penelitian ini yaitu pada konsentrasi 8% baik pada variasi karagenan-glukomanan maupun karagenan-kitosan sisik ikan bandeng. Variasi terbaik berdasarkan kombinasi bahan didapatkan pada hidrogel karagenan-glukomanan dengan konsentrasi glutaraldehid 8%. Penggunaan hidrogel karagenan-glukomanan dan karagenan kitosan efektif digunakan sebagai control release fertilizer. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pelepasan urea terkendali terbaik terjadi pada media tanah, dengan konsentrasi urea yang dilepaskan hidrogel karagenan-glukomanan adalah 0,192; 0,388; 0,658; 1,000; 2,704; 3,129; dan 4,113% dan pada hidrogel karagenan-kitosan konsentrasi urea yang dilepaskan adalah 1,037; 1,729; 2,675; 3,167; 5,604; 6,254; dan 7,092%. | ||||||
