Abstract
Stunting is a nutritional problem that often occurs in toddlers which is characterized by a shorter growth in height than the standard age. Based on Riskesdas (2018), the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is 30,8%, which is still above 20% of the WHO maximum tolerance limit. This study aims to determine the association of exclusive breastfeeding and environmental sanitation with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in Sukadana Village, Ciomas District in 2023. The design of this study was a cross-sectional and case study. The respondents of this study were mothers whose have toddlers aged 24-59 months in Sukadana Village, Ciomas District with the required sample size of 43 people. This results of the study on bivariate analysis of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting obtained p-value= 0,043 < 0,05, and environmental sanitation with the incidence of stunting obtained p-value= 0,728 ≥ 0,05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers and there is no relationship between environmental sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. | Additional Information: | Stunting merupakan salah satu masalah gizi yang sering terjadi pada balita yang ditandai dengan pertumbuhan tinggi badan yang lebih pendek dari standar usianya. Berdasarkan Riskesdas (2018), prevalensi stunting di Indonesia sebesar 30,8% masih berada di atas 20% dari batas maksimal toleransi WHO. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan pemberian ASI eksklusif dan sanitasi lingkungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan di Desa Sukadana Kecamatan Ciomas Tahun 2023. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dan studi kasus. Responden penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 24-59 bulan di Desa Sukadana Kecamatan Ciomas dengan besar sampel yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 43 orang. Hasil penelitian pada analisis bivariat pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting diperoleh p-value= 0,043 < 0,05, dan sanitasi lingkungan dengan kejadian stunting diperoleh p-value= 0,728 ≥ 0,05. Kesimpulan yaitu terdapat hubungan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara sanitasi lingkungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita.
