Abstract

21st century learning requires students to have the main competencies namely 4C (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, and Creative and Innovative) to be able to answer complex 21st century challenges. Problems in social life are called socioscientific issues which make learning more relevant and can increase the involvement of students to be more argumentative in exploring and reasoning about issues. This is also a challenge for the world of education, especially for teachers to create a learning atmosphere and teaching materials that can integrate socioscientific issues. The ability to solve problems that lead to social issues and relate them to science learning in schools is in line with the concept of sustainable development which can be achieved with education as the main key or known as Education for Sustainable Development. The purpose of this research is to develop an e-LKPD teaching material based on socioscientific issues oriented ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) on hydrocarbon material. This development research uses the ADDIE model (Analyze. Design, Develop, Implement. Evaluate). The results showed that the e-LKPD based on socioscientific issues oriented ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) was valid and feasible to use with a V value obtained of 0.91. The results of the response of 30 students to the e-LKPD obtained very good results of 88%. This shows that e-LKPD based on socioscientific issues oriented ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) on hydrocarbon material is declared valid and feasible to use as learning media.

Additional Information: Pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki kompetensi utama yakni 4C (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, dan Creative and Innovative) untuk bisa menjawab tantangan abad 21 yang bersifat kompleks. Permasalahan dalam kehidupan sosial disebut dengan isu sosiosaintifik yang membuat pembelajaran lebih relevan dan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik untuk lebih argumentatif dalam mengeksplorasi dan menalar isu. Hal ini menjadi tantangan juga bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya bagi guru untuk membentuk suasana belajar dan bahan ajar yang bisa mengintegrasikan isu sosiosaintifik. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah yang mengarah pada isu sosial serta mengaitkannya pada pembelajaran sains di sekolah sejalan dengan konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan yang dapat dicapai dengan pendidikan sebagai kunci utamanya atau dikenal dengan Education for Sustainable Development. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan suatu bahan ajar e-LKPD berbasis isu sosiosaintifik berorientasi ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) pada materi hidrokarbon. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze. Design, Develop, Implement. Evaluate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD berbasis isu sosiosaintifik berorientasi ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) ini valid dan layak digunakan dengan nilai V yang diperoleh sebesar 0,91. Hasil respon 30 peserta didik terhadap e-LKPD memperoleh hasil sangat baik yakni sebesar 88%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD berbasis isu sosiosaintifik berorientasi ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) pada materi hidrokarbon ini dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.
