Abstract

This research was motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students. The low ability of students is due to teacher-centered learning, learning has not led to problem solving and the lack of availability of teaching materials that facilitate critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop interactive E-Modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) that are valid, practical and effective in improving the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students. The interactive E-Module development process is carried out using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects are experts in the fields of education, materials, and media that aim to obtain validation of the developed products, and other subjects are mathematics teachers and junior high school students. The research instruments used consist of expert validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets, and tests of students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The results showed that the development of E-Modules developed was valid based on the overall percentage of education experts 85.12%, media experts 80.42%, material experts 83.33%, and practical criteria based on teacher and student responsses with an average of 85.75% including the very practical category. Effective based on the results of the mathematical critical thinking ability test which showed an N-gain value in the moderate improvement category and through an independent sample t-test showed a significant difference in the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik disebabkan pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru, pembelajaran belum mengarah pada pemecahan masalah dan kurangnya ketersediaan bahan ajar yang memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-Modul interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang valid, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik SMP. Proses pengembangan E-Modul interaktif dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subyek penelitiannya adalah ahli dalam bidang pendidikan, materi, dan media yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan validasi produk yang dikembangkan, dan subyek lainnya adalah guru matematika dan peserta didik SMP. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli, lembar penilaian kepraktisan, dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan E-Modul yang dikembangkan valid berdasarkan persentase keseluruhan ahli pendidikan 85,12%, ahli media 80,42%, ahli materi 83,33%, dan kriteria kepraktisan berdasarkan respons guru dan peserta didik dengan rata-rata 85,75% termasuk kategori sangat praktis. Efektif berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang menunjukkan nilai N-gain dalam kategori peningkatan sedang dan melalui Independent sample t-test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.
