Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Profitability (X1) and Company Size (X2) on Firm Value (Y) with Capital Structure (Z) as Intervening Variables of Pharmaceutical Companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2021 period. The variables studied are profitability projected by return on assets (ROA), firm size projected by natural logarithm of total assets (LnTA), firm value projected by price book value (PBV), and capital structure projected by debt to equity ratio (DER). The population of this study are companies that are included in the pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015- 2021. The population in this study amounted to 12 companies and used secondary data and used a casual associative research method that used a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study using documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test), hypothesis testing using the t test, path analysis test, and Sobel test using the SPSS version 22 program. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Profitability has a significant positive effect on Firm Value, (2) Company size has a significant negative effect on Firm Value, (3) Profitability has a significant negative effect on Capital Structure, (4) Company Size has a significant positive effect on Firm Value Capital, (5) Capital Structure has a significant negative effect on Firm Value, (6) Capital Structure is not able to mediate the relationship between Profitability and Firm Value, (7) Capital Structure is not able to mediate the relationship between Firm Size and Firm Value.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Profitabilitas (X1) dan Ukuran Perusahaan (X2) terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (Y) dengan Struktur Modal (Z) sebagai Variabel Intervening Perusahaan Farmasi yang terdaftar dalam BEI periode 2015-2021. Adapun variabel yang diteliti ini adalah profitabilitas diproyeksi oleh return on asset (ROA), ukuran perusahaan yang diproyeksi oleh logaritma natural total asset (LnTA), nilai perusahaan yang diproyeksi oleh price book value (PBV), dan struktur modal yang diproyeksi oleh debt to equity ratio (DER). Populasi penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang termasuk dalam perusahaan Farmasi yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2015-2021. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 perusahaan dan menggunakan data sekunder serta menggunakan metode penelitian asosiatif kasual yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji multikolinearitas, dan uji heteroskedastisitas), uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t, uji analysis path, dan uji sobel yang menggunakan program SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Profitabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, (2) Ukuran Perusahaan berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, (3) Profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Struktur Modal, (4) Ukuran Perusahaan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Struktur Modal, (5) Struktur Modal berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, (6) Struktur Modal tidak mampu memediasi hubungan Profitabilitas terhadap Nilai Perusahaan, (7) Struktur Modal tidak mampu memediasi hubungan Ukuran Perusahaan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan.
