Abstract
PDBI Serang City is the parent of the Marching Band which accommodates the Marching Band in Serang City which has a special training method that makes PDBI Serang City usually the foundation for achievements representing Serang City in provincial and national level competitions. This study aims to find out how the process of practicing Drumline Section at PDBI Serang City, and find out the structure of the Rudiment method on Drumline Section at PDBI Serang City. As for the background of the writer's interest in conducting this research, it is based on the results of observations and initial interviews that the author conducted with the trainer and chairman of the PDBI City of Serang. The research method used is a qualitative research method with an ethical and emic approach, and uses data analysis techniques with the Miles and Huberman schemes which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research that the author did were training in PDBI Serang City divided into five stages, namely, pre-activity, initial activity, core activity, evaluation, and closing. For the training process using the rudiment method, it is delivered in accordance with the method description that has been stated, meaning that all the steps and instructions have been listed. In this way, this discussion refers to the training process and structure of the rudiment method in PDBI Serang City.

| Additional Information: | PDBI Kota Serang merupakan induk Marching Band yang mewadahi Marching Band yang ada di Kota Serang yang memiliki sebuah metode latihan khusus yang menjadikan PDBI Kota Serang biasanya menjadi tumpuan prestasi yang mewakili Kota Serang di perlombaan tingkat Provinsi maupun Nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses latihan Drumline Section di PDBI Kota Serang, dan mengetahui struktur metode Rudiment pada Drumline Section di PDBI Kota Serang. Adapun yang melatarbelakangi penulis tertarik untuk membuat penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil pengamatan dan wawancara awal yang penulis lakukan dengan pelatih dan ketua PDBI Kota Serang. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etik dan emik, dan menggunakan teknik analisis data dengan skema miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan yaitu latihan di PDBI Kota Serang dibagi menjadi lima tahap yaitu, pra kegiatan, kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti, evaluasi, dan penutup. Untuk proses latihan menggunakan metode rudiment disampaikan sesuai dengan keterangan metode yang sudah tertera, artinya bahwa seluruh langkah-langkah dan petunjuk yang sudah tertera. Dengan begitu pembahasan ini mengacu pada proses latihan dan struktur metode rudiment di PDBI Kota Serang. | |||||||||
