Abstract
This research aims to find out the effect of the effectiveness of using word search puzzle games on vocabulary mastery in class X SMAN 6 Kota Serang. This research employed using a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental research design. The participants in this study were ten students of SMAN 6 Kota Serang. The researcher used two classes consisting of 37 students in each class for sample, namely the experimental class and control class. Then, in this research used instruments consisting multipel-choise questions before treatment. The instrument consisted of pre-test and post-test. The researcher first gave the pre-test before treatment. After treatment, the researcher gave a post-test to both classes.The results of this research showed that the use of the word search puzzle game media on vocabulary mastery resulted in a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery. The analysis results show that the t-test value was more than the t-table value (10,162 > 1,990). Accordingly, this means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the word search puzzle game on vocabulary mastery in class X SMAN 6 Kota Serang in the academic year 2021/2022.
