Abstract

This study aims to determine student and teacher responses to learning tools using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to improve students' critical thinking skills in colloidal material. Critical thinking skills coupled with learning awareness are related to ESD aspects, namely environmental, social and cultural. This research is a development research using the ADDIE method with the stages of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The subject of this study involved 15 students of XI MIPA 1 at SMAN 6 Serang City for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. In this study several criteria components were produced, namely: The validity of the learning device components which included the validation results of lesson plans by 97%, LKPD 96%, and the CVR test instrument test for KBK questions by 100% which involved experts or validators. (2) with the results of the practicality of the teacher's response questionnaire of 94%, this learning tool can be classified as practical. (3) the product trial results show that the critical thinking ability test instrument is effective in measuring critical thinking ability based on six categories of critical thinking indicators. So this instrument can be used as a measuring tool for students to think critically about colloidal material.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam konteks Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi koloid. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dibarengi dengan kesadaran belajar berkaitan dengan aspek ESD yaitu lingkungan, sosial dan budaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan metode ADDIE dengan tahapan Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 15 siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 6 Kota Serang Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Dalam penelitian ini dihasilkan beberapa komponen kriteria yaitu: Kevalidan komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi hasil validasi RPP sebesar 97%, LKPD 96%, dan uji instrumen tes CVR untuk soal KBK sebesar 100% yang melibatkan 6 orang ahli atau validator. (2) dengan hasil angket respon guru kepraktisan sebesar 94%, perangkat pembelajaran ini dapat digolongkan praktis. (3) hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis efektif dalam mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan enam kategori indikator berpikir kritis. Sehingga alat ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat ukur bagi siswa untuk berfikir kritis tentang materi koloid.
