Abstract
Penelitian bertujuan melihat kesiapan kerja siswa SMK di Kota Serang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teori WRI (work readiness inventory) yang memuat 6 aspek kesiapan kerja yaitu tanggung jawab, fleksibilitas, keterampilan, komunikasi, pandangan diri, serta kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, selain itu dibutuhkan faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja meliputi keterampilan, pengalaman kerja, kreativitas, kedisiplinan, prestasi belajar, nilai-nilai, fisik, bakat, sikap, kemandirian, minat, tingkat intelegensi, dan ekspektasi/tujuan masuk bekerja. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 211 siswa SMK Kota Serang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kesiapan kerja siswa di SMK Kota Serang tergolong siap dengan skor rata-rata 108,23. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja adalah tujuan masuk dunia kerja dengan skor rata-rata 13,47. Berdasarkan hasil uji R, terlihat bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja memiliki keeratan hubungan “Sangat Tinggi” terhadap kesiapan kerja. Hipotesis diterima karena perbandingan nilai lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi (0,00<0,05). Selanjutnya, hasil uji T menunjukkan bahwa tiap-tiap variabel mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa secara terpisah, hal ini karena nilai antar variabel lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,00<0,05), dinyatakan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima pada tiap-tiap variabel maka hipotesis diterima. Faktor kreativitas memiliki pengaruh paling dominan, sedangkan faktor tujuan masuk dunia kerja perlu diperbaiki. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa program keahlian teknik pemesinan di SMK Kota Serang siap untuk bekerja. dengan memperhatikan faktor- faktor mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa yang masih tergolong rendah agar dapat memaksimalkan potensi kerja siswa di masa depan.

| Additional Information: | The research aims to examine the work readiness of vocational high school students in Serang City. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with the WRI (Work Readiness Inventory) theory, which consists of six aspects of work readiness: responsibility, flexibility, skills, communication, self-perception, as well as health and safety at work. Additionally, factors influencing work readiness are required, including skills, work experience, creativity, discipline, academic achievement, values, physicality, talent, attitude, independence, interest, intelligence level, and work entry expectations/goals. Data were collected through questionnaire distribution to 211 vocational high school students in Serang City. The analysis results indicate that the work readiness of students in vocational high schools in Serang City is classified as ready with an average score of 108.23. The factor that most influences work readiness is the goal of entering the workforce with an average score of 13.47. Based on the results of the R-test, it is evident that the factors influencing work readiness have a "Very High" level of relationship with work readiness. The hypothesis is accepted because the comparison value is smaller than the significance level (0.00 < 0.05). Furthermore, the results of the T-test show that each variable individually influences students' work readiness, as the values between variables are smaller than 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05). This indicates that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted for each variable, thus confirming the acceptance of the hypothesis. The creativity factor has the most dominant influence, while the goal of entering the workforce needs improvement. Therefore, it can be concluded that students in the machining engineering program at vocational high schools in Serang City are ready to work, considering the factors influencing students' work readiness, which are still relatively low, in order to maximize their potential in the future. | |||||||||
