Abstract
This study aims to obtain in-depth information regarding the training strategy for prospective workers which includes training implementation, instructor and participant learning strategies, as well as competency results obtained by participants in the Industrial Electrical Operator training. This research is motivated by learning problems, namely the participants' different disciplines, besides that educational background and age become a challenge for instructors in increasing the competence of trainees. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at BBPVP Serang. Informants in this study were Organizers, Empowerers, Instructors and Participants in Industrial Electrical Operator training. Data collection techniques in this study included participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman interactive model which is carried out in four stages, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained in this study indicate (1) The implementation of the training includes processes (planning, organizing, actualizing, controlling, output and outcome), (2) Learning strategies applied by the instructor (illustrated lectures, practice, soft skills and case studies), (3 ) Learning strategies of the participants (adapting to the instructor, independent learning and sharing), and (4) The competency results obtained by the training participants cover 3 aspects (work attitude, knowledge and skills).

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi yang mendalam mengenai strategi pelatihan calon peserta tenaga kerja yang meliputi pelaksanaan pelatihan, strategi pembelajaran instruktur dan peserta, serta hasil kompetensi yang diperoleh peserta pada Pelatihan Operator Listrik Industri. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh permasalahan pembelajaran yaitu disiplin ilmu peserta pelatihan yang berbeda-beda disamping itu latar belakang pendidikan dan usia menjadi suatu tantangan bagi instruktur dalam peningkatan kompetensi peserta pelatihan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di BBPVP Serang. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah Penyelenggara, Pemberdaya, Instruktur dan Peserta Pelatihan Operator Listrik Industri. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman yang dilakukan dalam empat tahapan yaitu pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Pelaksanaan pelatihan meliputi proses (planning, organizing, actualizing, controlling, output dan outcome), (2) Strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan instruktur (ceramah bergambar, praktik, softskill dan studi kasus), (3) Strategi belajar peserta (beradaptasi dengan instruktur, belajar mandiri dan berbagi (sharing), dan (4) Hasil kompetensi yang diperoleh peserta pelatihan meliputi 3 aspek (sikap kerja, pengetahuan dan keterampilan). | |||||||||
