Abstract
Public space is a place or area where people can gather to achieve common goals and share stories about personal and group problems. Petak Papat has a goal of being a public space that is open for various things such as community collaboration, audiences who like sports to use the available facilities, as well as helping SMEs to have a place to channel their business. Petak Papat's strategic location close to the city center, and several other public spaces in Serang City, such as several universities in Serang City and also located at the access road to the East Serang toll gate, has the potential to become a crowded place to visit. However, due to the fact that very few audiences know about it and social media is no longer active, it is felt that it is important to design promotional and information media using communication strategies and media production concepts to revive and provide traction for the development of Petak Papat. | Additional Information: | Ruang publik (Public Space) merupakan suatu tempat atau area yang dimana masyarakatnya dapat saling berkumpul untuk meraih tujuan bersama dan berbagi cerita mengenai permasalahan pribadi maupun kelompok. Petak Papat memiliki tujuan sebagai ruang publik yang terbuka untuk berbagai hal seperti kolaborasi komunitas, khalayak yang menyukai olahraga untuk menggunakan fasilitas yang tersedia, serta membantu umkm untuk memiliki tempat menyalurkan usahanya. Lokasi Petak Papat yang strategis dekat dengan pusat kota, dan beberapa ruang publik lainnya yang ada di Kota Serang, seperti beberapa Universitas yang ada di Kota Serang dan juga berada di akses jalan masuk gerbang tol Serang Timur sangat berpotensi menjadi tempat yang ramai dikunjungi. Tetapi karena faktanya sangat sedikit sekali khalayak yang mengetahui serta media sosial yang sudah tidak aktif maka dirasa penting pembuatan perancangan media promosi dan informasi dengan menggunakan strategi komunikasi dan konsep produksi media untuk Kembali menghidupkan dan memberikan daya tarik untuk pengembangan Petak Papat.
