Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation to learn and student achievement. The learning method is teacher-centred, so that learning seems monotonous and students become passive in participating in learning. This research was conducted at SMPN 5 Rangkasbitung class VII totalling 31 students. The purpose of this study was to describe the steps, feasibility, effectiveness, student responses and teacher responses to the interactive video product teachmint application, on science learning material on cell organisation system. This research is a research & development (R&D) development, namely 4D which has 4 streams of stages, namely defining (define), designing (design), developing (development), and disseminating (disseminate). The method of data collection in this study is by conducting observations, interviews, validation tests of media experts and material experts, questionnaires and pretest and posttest instruments. The results of the media expert validation test obtained a score of 93% with a very feasible category, the material expert test results obtained a score of 77.35% with a very feasible category. While the results of the effectiveness test of the pretest and posttest results with an average N Gain Score of 0.74 with high criteria, the student response scored 87.96% of the category strongly agreed, while the teacher response scored an average score of 80% of the category strongly agreed. These results can be concluded that interactive video media with the teachmint application can be declared feasible for use in learning.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa. Metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru, sehingga pembelajaran terkesan monoton dan siswa menjadi pasif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 5 Rangkasbitung kelas VII berjumlah 31 siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Langkah-langkah, kelayakan, keefektifan, respon siswa dan respon guru terhadap produk video interaktif aplikasi teachmint, pada pembelajaran IPA materi sistem organisasi sel. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan research & development (R&D) yaitu 4D yang memiliki 4 alur tahapan yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan melaksankan observasi, wawancara, uji validasi ahli media dan ahli materi, angket serta intrumen pretest dan posttes. Hasil uji validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 93% dengan kategori sangat layak, hasil uji ahli materi memperoleh skor 77,35% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan hasil uji efektivitas dari hasi pretes dan posttes dengan N Gain Score rata-rata 0,74 dengan kriteria tinggi, respon siswa memperoleh skor 87,96% kategori sangat setuju, sedangkan respon guru memperoleh skor rata-rata 80% kategori sangat setuju. Hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video interaktif dengan aplikasi teachmint dapat dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
