Abstract
This research is aimed to find out the difference the difference and improvement of understanding ability of science concept of student using project based learning model with lecture method. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with Pretest- Posttest Non Equivalent research design. This research was conducted at SDN Ranjeng from March 13 to March 25, 2017. Sampling technique in this research using Probability Sampling. In this research, VB class as experiment class and VA as class. Instrument of research given in the form of concept comprehension ability test instrument as much as 14 essay matter. The result of data analysis showed the average of post experiment class score 74,83 and control class 60,83. Average N-Gain data for the experimental class is 0.66 and the control grade is 0.50. Data analysis techniques to test the first hypothesis in this study using two-t test. From the results of hypothesis test results obtained value ttabel > thitung, 3,710 > 1,990, then Ha is accepted. Data analysis techniques to test the second hypothesis in this study using a one-party test. From the results of hypothesis test results obtained values ttabel > thitung, 3,902 > 1,664, then Ha is accepted. The result of the analysis concludes that there is a difference of ability between the experimental class and the control class, as well as the improved understanding of the concept of the experimental class is higher than the control class.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dengan metode ceramah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Non Equivalent. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Ranjeng dari tanggal 13 Maret – 25 Maret 2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Probability Sampling. Pada penelitian ini, kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VA sebagai kelas. Instrumen penelitian yang diberikan berupa instrumen tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep sebanyak 14 soal essay. Hasil analisis data menunjukan rata-rata skor post-test kelas eksperimen 74,83 dan kelas kontrol 60,83. Rata-rata data N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,66 dan kelas kotrol 0,50. Teknik analisa data untuk menguji hipotesis pertama dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dua pihak. Dari hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai ttabel > thitung, 3,710 > 1,990, maka Ha diterima. Teknik analisa data untuk menguji hipotesis kedua dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t satu pihak. Dari hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai ttabel > thitung, 3,902 > 1,664, maka Ha diterima. Hasil analisis tersebut memberikan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, serta peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. | |||||||||
