Abstract
Strengthening Character Education (PPK) is one of President Joko Widodo's Nawacita points in strengthening national character education. Strengthening Character Education (PPK) has main values that are developed in the culture of the education unit. And among the five main character values that need to be developed, one of the most important values for early childhood is the value of independence. Character education must be implemented as early as possible. Early childhood is the initial foundation for the growth and development of a person in the future. In the formation of independent character in children can be done in various ways, one of which is the habituation method. The purpose of this study is to find out how the habituation method is applied in the formation of early childhood independence and how the results of early childhood independence after the habituation method is applied. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive methods.The results of this study indicate that (1) the habituation method carried out by educators seen from routine activities, spontaneous activities, and exemplary is quite good and there is success, (2) the improvement resulting from the habituation method in independence in early childhood. Additional Information: | Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) merupakan salah satu butir Nawacita Presiden Joko Widodo dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter bangsa. Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) memiliki nilai-nilai utama yang dikembangkan dalam budaya satuan Pendidikan. Dan diantara kelima nilai utama karakter yang perlu dikembangkan, salah satu nilai yang penting untuk anak usia dini yaitu nilai kemandirian. Pendidikan karakter harus diterapkan sejak sedini mungkin. Masa usia dini merupakan fondasi awal untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan seseorang di masa depan kelak. Dalam pembentukan karakter mandiri dalam diri anak dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara salah satunya yaitu metode pembiasaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode pembiasaan dalam pembentukan kemandirian anak usia dini dan bagaimana hasil pembentukan kemandirian anak usia dini setelah diterapkan metode pembiasaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) metode pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh pendidik dilihat dari kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, dan keteladanan sudah cukup baik dan terdapat keberhasilan, (2) peningkatan yang dihasilkan dari metode pembiasaan dalam kemandirian pada anak usia dini.
