Abstract

Binuangeun Beach is located in Muara Village, Wanasalam District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Open waters directly facing the Indian Ocean. Quantitatively, the study of community structure and distribution patterns of macrozoobenthos has two roles, namely to determine community structure (find out the changing conditions of the aquatic environment) and the level of distribution patterns of macrozoobenthos (know groups within individual macrozoobenthic associations). This study aims to analyze the community structure and distribution patterns of macrozoobenthos in Binuangeun Beach, Muara Village, Wanasalam District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. The research method used purposive sampling is a non-random sampling technique, in which the researcher conducts field surveys and takes samples. Sampling was carried out at 5 stations, each station was divided into 12 points. Sampling was 4 plots at 100 m, 4 plots at 50 m, and 4 plots at point 0. Macrozoobenthos sampling was carried out using a 1x1 m transect. The distribution pattern of macrozoobenthos in the waters of Binuangeun Beach is dominated by grouped and random species. The structure of the macrozoobenthic community at the five study sites showed that the highest relative abundance of macrozoobenthos was at station 5, with a moderate diversity index (H'), medium uniformity index (E), and low dominance index (C). The macrozoobenthos that dominated at the five stations and had the highest relative abundance was Neritodryas sp. The pattern of distribution of macrozoobenthos on Binuangeun Beach is generally clustered.

Additional Information:	Pantai Binuangeun terletak di Desa Muara, Kecamatan Wanasalam, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Perairan terbuka yang berhadapan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia. Secara kuantitatif, kajian struktur komunitas dan pola distribusi makrozoobentos memiliki dua peran, yaitu untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas (mengetahui perubahan kondisi lingkungan perairan) dan tingkat pola distribusi makrozoobentos (mengetahui kelompok dalam asosiasi individu makrozoobentos). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas dan pola sebaran makrozoobentos di Pantai Binuangeun, Desa Muara, Kecamatan Wanasalam, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling yaitu teknik non random sampling, dimana peneliti melakukan survei lapangan dan mengambil sampel. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di 5 stasiun, masing-masing stasiun dibagi menjadi 12 titik. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak 4 plot pada 100 m, 4 plot pada 50 m, dan 4 plot pada titik 0. Pengambilan sampel makrozoobentos dilakukan dengan transek berukuran 1x1 m. Pola sebaran makrozoobentos di perairan Pantai Binuangeun didominasi oleh jenis yang berkelompok dan acak. Struktur komunitas makrozoobentos pada kelima lokasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan relatif makrozoobentos tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 5, dengan indeks keanekaragaman (H' sedang), indeks keseragaman (E) sedang, dan indeks dominansi (C) rendah. Makrozoobentos yang mendominasi kelima stasiun dan memiliki kelimpahan relatif tertinggi adalah Neritodryas sp. Pola persebaran makrozoobentos di Pantai Binuangeun umumnya mengelompok.
