Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of Class XII Welding Engineering students at SMKS Yahinka Cilegon. This research employs a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental methodology. Students of Class XII Welding Engineering at SMKS Yabhinka Cilegon for the academic year 2020/2021 comprised the research sample, with class XII Las 1 comprising 18 student samples serving as the experimental class and class XII Las 2 totaling 18 student samples serving as the control class. The data collection instrument was an essay-based, 10-question test of creative reasoning abilities. Examine the hypothesis using the Paired Sample t Test and Independent Test in this study. The posttest mean is 82.9, the mean observation value is 86.11, and the project mean is 84.14, according to the results of the study conducted in class XII Las 1, which employs the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Class XII Las 2 students who did not use the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model achieved a posttest mean of 71.7, an observation mean of 74.56, and a project mean of 49.9. The results of hypothesis testing with the Independent t-test statistic show a significant value of 0.000 or less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on the creative thinking abilities of class 12 Las 1 participants based on the results of the pretest, observation, and project.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Eksperimen Semu. Sampel penelitian ialah siswa kelas XII Teknik pengelasan di SMKS Yabhinka Cilegon tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan pembagian kelas XII Las 1 berjumlah 18 sampel siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XII Las 2 berjumlah 18 sampel siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif berbentuk essay berjumlah 10 soal . Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Paired Sample t Test dan Independent Test. Adapun dari hasil analisis diperoleh pada kelas XII Las 1 yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) yakni diperoleh nilai mean posttest sebesar 82,9, nilai mean observasi sebesar 86,11 dan nilai mean proyek sebesar 84,14. Sedangkan kelas XII Las 2 yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) memperoleh nilai mean posttest sebesar yakni 71,7, nilai mean observasi sebesar 74,56 dan nilai mean proyek sebesar 49,83. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan statistik uji Independent t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikan 0,000 atau kurang dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari hasil pottest, observasi, proyek dan hasil uji hipotesis terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada kelas XII Las 1.
