Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the VAK learning model in developing students' self-efficacy and creativity in the material of interaction between living things. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Waringinkurung. The method used in this research is descriptive, to obtain research data using observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained during the research shows that through the implementation of the VAK learning model it can increase students' self-efficacy and creativity. Based on the results of students' self-efficacy and creativity in the learning process students are more active in asking questions, have good self-confidence in conveying arguments, enthusiastic in learning and fun. Based on the results of the research that students' creativity in learning has four indicators, namely, smooth thinking, flexibility, originality and detail. From these four indicators students can think creatively in each VAK learning step. The learning process often encounters several obstacles including the use of learning strategies/methods, school facilities and infrastructure and the weaknesses of the learning model itself. The right solution in learning is that the teacher must choose the right strategy/method in the learning process including using the VAK learning model which has several advantages including providing direct experience in the learning process.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran VAK dalam mengembangkan efikasi diri dan kreativitas siswa pada materi interaksi antar makhluk hidup. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Waringinkurung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, untuk memperoleh data penelitian menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh selama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui implementasi model pembelajaran VAK dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri dan kreativitas siswa. Berdasarkan hasil efikasi diri dan kreativitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran siswa lebih aktif dalam menyampaikan pertanyaan, memiliki rasa percaya diri yang baik dalam menyampaikan argumen, bersemangat dalam pembelajaran dan menyenangkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mempunyai empat indikator yaitu, berpikir lancar, keluwesan, keaslian dan kerincian. Dari ke empat indikator tersebut siswa dapat berpikir kreatif pada setiap langkah-langkah pembelajaran VAK. Proses pembelajaran sering terjadi beberapa kendala diantaranya penggunaan strategi/metode pembelajaran, sarana dan prasarana disekolah dan kelemahan model pembelajaran itu sendiri. Solusi yang tepat dalam pemebelajaran yaitu guru harus memilih strategi/metode yang tepat dalam proses pembelajaran diantaranya menggunakan model pemelajaran VAK yang memiliki beberapa kelebihan diantaranya memberikan pengelaman langsung dalam proses pembelajaran.
