Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of intrinsic motivation and work discipline on employee performance through organizational commitment. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a causal approach. The object of this research at PT. Bintang Samudra Utama, Merak Branch – Banten used a sample of 76 respondents. Questionnaire answers were measured using an interval scale of 1 – 10. Data were analyzed using the SmartPLS version 3.29 software. The results of this study stated that: 1). Intrinsic motivation affects employee performance. 2). Work discipline affects employee performance. 3). Intrinsic motivation affects organizational commitment. 4). Work discipline affects organizational commitment. 5). Organizational commitment affects employee performance. Organizational commitment can mediate between intrinsic motivation and work discipline in partial mediation.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi intrinsic dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui komitmen organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Objek penelitian ini pada PT. Bintang Samudra Utama, Cabang Merak – Banten menggunakan sampel 76 responden. Jawaban kuesioner diukur menggunakan skala interval 1 – 10. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan software SmartPLS Versi 3.29. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: 1). Motivasi intrinsic berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. 2). Disiplin kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. 3). Motivasi intrinsic berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi. 4). Disiplin kerja berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi. 5). Komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Komitmen organisasi mampu memediasi antara motivasi intrinsic dan disiplin kerja secara mediasi parsial.
