Abstract
This study This study aims to determine the ability of public high school students throughout the Lebak Regency to interpret graphs on kinematics material and to determine the distribution of abilities of students of public high schools throughout the Lebak Regency in interpreting kinematics graphs. This study focuses on the ability profiles of public high school students in the Lebak Regency. The method used is a survey with a quantitative descriptive approach. The instrument used is a test that adopts the TUG-K (Test of Understanding Graphs Kinematics) questions developed by Beichner, Zavala, Tajeda, & Barniol (2018). The TUG-K questions were distributed to State Senior High Schools in Lebak Regency, with nine schools consisting of 3 accredited A, five accredited B, and one accredited C. This study's respondents were 481 students using random cluster sampling. The results of the ability to interpret kinematic graphs of public high school students in the Lebak Regency are in the poor category, with an average percentage value of 27%. At the same time, the ability of accredited schools obtained scores including A accreditation of 28%, B accreditation of 28%, and C accreditation of 24%. In particular, the ability of students to interpret graphs seen from the four indicators is as follows: on indicator 1, schools accredited A get an average score of (32%), schools B (28%), and schools accredited C (24%); indicators two schools accredited A (37%), schools accredited B (32%) and schools accredited C (23%); indicator three there are anomalies namely schools accredited A (21%), schools accredited B (23%) and schools accredited C (19%) and indicator 4 there are anomalies namely schools accredited A (23%), schools accredited B (29%) and C�accredited schools (29%).

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lebak dalam menginterpretasi grafik pada materi kinematika dan mengetahui sebaran kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lebak dalam menginterpretasi grafik kinematika. Penelitian ini berfokus pada profil kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Lebak. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes yang mengadopsi dari soal TUG-K (Test of Understanding Graphs Kinematics) yang dikembangkan oleh Beichner, Zavala, Tajeda, & Barniol (2018). Soal TUG-K disebarkan ke Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri di Kabupaten Lebak dengan 9 sekolah terdiri dari 3 sekolah terakreditasi A, 5 sekolah terakreditasi B dan 1 sekolah terakreditasi C. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 481 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Hasil kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik kinematika siswa SMA Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lebak secara keseluruhan berkategori kurang baik dengan nilai rata-rata persentase sebesar 27%. Sedangkan kemampuan sekolah terakreditasi didapatkan nilai diantaranya akreditasi A sebesar 28%, akreditasi B sebesar 28% dan akreditasi C sebesar 24%. Secara khusus kemampuan siswa menginterpretasi grafik dilihat dari 4 indikator adalah sebagai berikut: pada indikator 1 sekolah terakreditasi A mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar (32%), sekolah B (28%) dan sekolah terakreditasi C (24%); indikator 2 sekolah terakreditasi A (37%), sekolah terakreditasi B (32%) dan sekolah terakreditasi C (23%); indikator 3 terdapat anomali yaitu sekolah terakreditasi A (21%), sekolah terakreditasi B (23%) dan sekolah terakreditasi C (19%) dan indikator 4 terdapat anomali yaitu sekolah terakreditasi A (23%), sekolah terakreditasi B (29%) dan sekolah terakreditasi C (29%). | |||||||||
