Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of the Learning Cycle model to improve the thinking skills of IPS subjects on the development of production technology, communication and transportation of the past and the present. The research method used is. With Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. Sampling was done by using Porposive Sampling technique. The sample in this research is class IVA as experiment class as many as 39 students and class IVB as control class as many as 39 student. Based on results of research seen from the right-side data posttest results is , then rejected and accepted. As for the gain test results obtained is , then rejected and accepted. Thus it can be concluded that improving student creative thinking ability in the experimental class is better than the students active thinking ability in the control class.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model Learning Cycle untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mata pelajaran IPS pada perkembangan teknologi produksi, komunikasi dan transportasi masa lalu dan masa kini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IVA sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 39 siswa dan IVB sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 39 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dilihat dari uji pihak kanan data Posttet diperoleh nilai yaitu , maka ditolak dan diterima. Sedangkan untuk Uji gain didapat hasil yaitu , maka ditolak dan diterima. Dengan demikian dapat di simpulkan Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif IPS siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas kontrol. | |||||||||
