Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical understanding abilities during post-covid-19 pandemic learning at SMP Negeri 2 Warunggunung. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The targets in this study were class VIII C students with all students in that class. Data collection was carried out using mathematical understanding ability test sheets and semi-structured interviews. The subjects in the study were 1 student with the highest test result, 1 student with moderate test results and 1 student with the lowest test result. The results showed that the students' mathematical understanding skills in class VIII C in the matter of a system of linear equations for two variables were in the sufficient category with an average score of 61%. Most of the students were able to achieve indicators of mathematical understanding ability.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada saat pembelajaran pasca pandemi covid-19 di SMP Negeri 2 Warunggunung. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII C dengan keseluruhan siswa dalam kelas tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, lembar tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Subjek dalam penelitian yaitu 2 orang siswa dengan hasil tes tertinggi, 2 orang siswa dengan hasil tes sedang dan 2 orang siswa dengan hasil tes terendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII C pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel berada pada kategori cukup dengan skor rata-rata 61%. Sebagian besar siswa mampu mencapai indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis sehingga kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada saat pembelajaran pasca pandemi covid-19 lebih baik dibandingkan dengan masa pandemi covid-19.
