Abstract
The learning process in the world of education is supported by technological developments. Technological developments in the world of education make learning not just sitting in the classroom. The post-pandemic learning process system has undergone many changes. Students become more familiar with various digital platforms due to their familiarity with online learning conditions. Teachers are also required to be able to adapt to applications that can support making learning media. This development research aims to create Nearpod-based interactive learning media on environmental pollution material to train the critical thinking skills of class VII students at Mutiara Bunda Middle School, Cilegon. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which is oriented to develop and produce a product and to validate the level of effectiveness of the product. The method of collecting data in this development research is by carrying out observations, interviews, validation tests of material and media experts, questionnaires, and pretest and posttest instruments. The data that has been obtained according to the suggestions and input of the media and material expert validators are then tested during the learning process and analyzed descriptively qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively. Based on the material expert validation test results, an average score of 76% is in the appropriate category. The results of the media expert validation test also obtained a score of 81% with a very valid/very feasible category, whereas in the effectiveness test based on the recapitulation of pretest and posttest values using the N-Gain score an average value of 0.75 was obtained with high/effective criteria so that Nearpod learning media is effective in training students' critical thinking skills. Based on the response of teachers and students with a score of 86% in the "very good" category, it can be concluded that the Nearpod application-based learning media is interesting and supportive for use as media and teaching materials in class.

Additional Information: | Proses pembelajaran dalam dunia pendidikan didukung dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan membuat pembelajaran tidak hanya duduk di dalam kelas. Sistem proses pembelajaran pasca pandemi mengalami banyak perubahan. Peserta didik menjadi lebih mengenal berbagai platform digital akibat terbiasanya dalam kondisi pembelajaran daring. Guru pun dituntut untuk dapat beradaptasi pada aplikasi yang dapat menunjang dalam membuat media pembelajaran. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Nearpod pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII di SMP Mutiara Bunda Cilegon. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang berorientasi untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan sebuah produk serta untuk memvalidasi tingkat efektivitas produk tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian pengembangan ini dengan melaksanakan observasi, wawancara, uji validasi ahli materi dan media, angket serta instrumen pretest dan posttest. Data yang telah diperoleh sesuai saran dan masukan validator ahli media dan materi kemudian diuji cobakan saat proses pembelajaran serta dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata skor 76% dengan kategori layak, hasil uji validasi ahli media juga memperoleh skor 81% dengan kategori sangat valid/sangat layak, sedangkan pada uji efektivitas berdasarkan rekapitulasi nilai pretest dan posttest menggunakan skor N-Gain diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,75 dengan kriteria tinggi/efektif sehingga media pembelajaran Nearpod efektif dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Berdasarkan respon guru dan peserta didik dengan skor 86% dengan kategori “sangat baik” dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Nearpod ini menarik dan mendukung untuk digunakan sebagai media dan bahan ajar di kelas. | |||||||||
