Abstract
ABSTRACT Agricultural development should be done by utilizing an overall agribusiness approach. One of the prosperous agribusiness industries was red chili horticulture. This research aimed to analyze the total cost, revenue, income, BEP (Break Even Point) value, and efficiency level of production. The research method was descriptive quantitative. The purposived selected location to observe was Kadomas Subdistrict, Districted of Pandeglang. The respondents selected were 8 farmers. The results revealed that the production cost per hectare in each growing season used the seedbed for tray semai was Rp.28.816.666,07, the revenue was Rp.51.206.896,55 and the income was Rp.22.390.230,48. While the cost of the seedbed with polybag was Rp.27.942.859,51, the revenue was Rp.46.606.060,61 and the income was Rp.18.663.201,10. The red chili farm in Kadomas was feasible to be develop based on criteria, namely, BEP of sales earns Rp.14.217.361,06, BEP of production was 1.421,74 kg, BEP of land area was 0,34 ha and efficiency level was 1,66 for seedbed tray seeding. While the seedbed with polybag, BEP of sales earns Rp. Rp.1.478.891,89, BEP of production was 1.478,89 kg, BEP of land area was 0,33 ha and efficiency level was 1,67. As a result, it can be concluded that red chili farm raised by the farmers in Kadomas was profitable and feasible to be developed. Based on this research, the author suggests in the process of red chili pepper seeds seedbed should use tray seeding. Key Words : Red chili fram, Cost, Revenue, Income, efficiency.
