Abstract

PLP is a program that combines all the teaching skills that students learn in a prospective teacher education program. This study aims to find the relationship between basic teaching skills and teaching practice skills in PLP Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education students. Ex post facto research with quantitative approach, variable (X) basic teaching skills and teaching practice skills (Y). The research sample was 36 students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education who carried out PLP in 2022. Data collection using documentation studies, basic teaching skills tests, analysis of learning videos. results, and conclusions. The results of simultaneous tests show that Fcount = 10.417 is greater than Ftable = 2.31 and sig value = 0.000 is smaller α = 0.05 and R value = 0.869 which means it is included in the category of near-perfect relationships, then to determine the amount of contribution of basic teaching skills variables to teaching practice skills, it can be seen through R square of 0.755 multiplied by 100%, the result is that the variable of basic teaching skills to teaching practice skills has a contribution of 75.5%, while the remaining 24.5% is determined by other variables so that it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between basic teaching skills and teaching practice skills in the introduction of school fields (PLP) of Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education students 2022.

Additional Information: PLP adalah program yang menggabungkan semua keterampilan mengajar yang dipelajari mahasiswa dalam program pendidikan calon guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara keterampilan dasar mengajar terhadap keterampilan praktik mengajar pada PLP mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin. Penelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, variable (X) keterampilan dasar mengajar dan keterampilan praktik mengajar (Y). Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin yang melaksanakan PLP pada tahun 2022 sebanyak 36 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi, tes keterampilan dasar mengajar, analisis video pembelajaran, analisis video praktik mengajar. hasil, dan kesimpulan. Hasil uji simultan menunjukkan Fhitung = 10.417 lebih besar dari Ftabel = 2.31 dan nilai sig = 0.000 lebih kecil α =0.05 serta nilai R = 0.869 yang berarti termasuk dalam kategori hubungan mendekati sempurna, selanjutnya untuk menentukan besarnya sumbangan variabel keterampilan dasar mengajar terhadap keterampilan praktik mengajar, maka dapat dilihat melalui R square sebesar 0.755 yang dikali dengan 100% maka hasilnya variabel keterampilan dasar mengajar terhadap keterampilan praktik mengajar memiliki sumbangan sebesar 75.5%,, sedangkan sisanya 24.5% ditentunkan variabel lain sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara keterampilan dasar mengajar terhadap keterampilan praktik mengajar pada pengenalan lapangan persekolahan (PLP) mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin 2022.
