Abstract
Soil is a natural object located on the surface of the earth's crust which is divided into 2, namely mineral material from weathering of rocks and organic matter resulting from weathering of plant or animal remains. This research was conducted to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the soil at that location original soil without added materials mixed with added steel slag and bamboo leaf ash and to determine the value of the soil classification system based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) guidelines. This study uses a penmixturesteel slag (SS) and bamboo leaf ash (ADB) added with various percentages (0% SS ; 0% ADB), (20% SS ; 10% ADB), (40% SS ; 10% ADB), (60 % SS ; 10% ADB), (100% SS ; 10% ADB) with a curing time of 0 and 7 days on laboratory soil CBR value testing without immersion. In the USCS soil type classification system at the location of the road, it is included in the OH group, which is an organic clay soil with high plasticity results because it has an IP value of 22.36%, a liquid limit above 50% which is 64.5% and a field CBR value using the DCP tool. obtained by 3.01%. The result of mixing the original soil with added materials has increased. The optimum soil CBR value is found in the percentage of added material 100% steel slag and 10% bamboo leaf ash at 7 days of curing time with a soil CBR value of 24.95%. This optimum CBR value is included in the good category

Additional Information: | Tanah adalah benda alam yang terletak dipermukaan kulit bumi yang terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu bahan mineral dari hasil pelapukan batuan dan bahan organik hasil pelapukan sisa tumbuhan atau hewan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sifat fisis tanah dan mekanis tanah pada lokasi tersebut tanah asli tanpa campuran bahan tambah dengan pencampuran bahan tambah steel slag dan abu daun bambu serta untuk mengetahui nilai system klasifikasi tanah berdasarkan pedoman Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pencampuran bahan tambah Steel Slag (SS) dan Abu Daun Bambu (ADB) dengan variasi presentase sebanyak (0% SS ; 0% ADB), (20% SS ; 10% ADB), (40% SS ; 10% ADB), (60% SS ; 10% ADB), (100% SS ; 10% ADB) dengan lama waktu pemeraman 0 dan 7 hari pada pengujian nilai CBR tanah laboratorium tanpa rendaman. Pada Sistem klasifikasi jenis tanah USCS pada lokasi jalan tersebut termasuk kedalam kelompok OH merupakan tanah lempung organik. Pada hasil plastisitas tinggi karena mempunyai nilai IP sebesar 22,36%, batas cair diatas 50% yaitu sebesar 64,5% dan nilai CBR lapangan dengan alat DCP didapat sebesar 3,01%. Hasil dari pencampuran tanah asli dengan bahan tambah mengalami peningkatan. Nilai CBR tanah optimum terdapat pada persentase bahan tambah 100% steel slag dan 10% abu daun bambu pada lama waktu pemeraman 7 hari dengan nilai CBR tanah senilai 24,95%. Nilai CBR optimum ini termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. | |||||||||
