Abstract
Bananas are fruit commodities that have the potential to be developed to support food security. Because banana plants have the advantages needed, complementary nutrition, productivity, and the ability to overcome environmental pressures to survive. One of the factors that limit crop production is nutrients. Nano-technology fertilizers have the potential to increase the efficiency of the use of fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural tools and machinery, and seeds through the development of high-productivity varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases. This study aims to determine the effect of applying concentration levels of nano-technology fertilizers and banana varieties on the growth of banana weevil seedlings (Musa sp.). This research was conducted from July to September 2022 at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor being the concentration level of Nanotechnology Fertilizers with 5 levels, namely 0; 2.5; 5; 7.5; and 20 ml, and the second factor was Banana Varieties, namely Mas Kirana and Tanduk varieties. Parameters observed were time of shoot emergence (mst), number of shoots, plant height (cm), number of leaves (hlai), leaf length (cm), leaf width (cm), leaf area (cm2), stem diameter (cm), and stem color. The results showed that the concentration of Nano-Tech Fertilizer treatment greatly affected the height of plants aged 8 and 12 MST, number of leaves (12 MST), and leaf length (12 MST); also affected the number of shoots (12 WAP), leaf area and stem diameter (12 WAP). Technological fertilizer with a concentration of 5ml/L gave the best growth in all observed parameters. varietal treatment greatly influenced the parameters of plant height at 8 WAP, number of shoots at 8 MST and 12 MST, leaf width, and stem diameter; also affected the plant height at 12 WAP. The Mas Kirana variety gave more optimal growth compared to the growth of the Tanduk variety on these parameters. There is an interaction between the application of nano-technology fertilizers and the variety used which greatly influences the number of leaves parameter (12 WAP); also affected the number of shoots (12 WAP) and stem diameter (12 WAP). | |||||||||
