Abstract
Siti Nur Aisyah. 2022. Growth Response of Several Varieties of Red Chili (Capsicum annum L.) Against Concentration Levels of NaCl in Sand Media. Under the guidance of: Zahratul Millah and Rusmana. This study aims to determine the response of growth and yield of several varieties of red chili (Capsicum annum L.) to the level of NaCl concentration in sand. This research consisted of two factors. The first factor was the variety of red chili and the second factor is the concentration of NaCl salt. Sowing red chilli varieties of Gantari, Lingga, and Ciko into polybags when the seedlings are 4 weeks after sowing. NaCl watering was done in the morning and evening until the plants were 14 DAP. The results showed that salinity stress had a significant effect on parameters of plant height at 21 DAP and 28 DAP, number of leaves at 28 DAP, number of flowers, flower age, root fresh weight, root dry weight, number of fruits and first harvest fruit weight. The use of three varieties of red chili is classified as tolerant to salinity stress, as indicated by the calculation of the Stress Sensitivity Index (ISC). There was an interaction between the treatment of red chili varieties with salinity stress on the parameters of plant height 28 DAP, number of leaves 28 DAP and flower age.

Di bawah bimbingan: Zahratul Millah dan Rusmana. Salinitas adalah kadar akumulasi garam baik di tanah atau lahan maupun air irigasi. Lahan dengan akumulasi garam berlebih disebut lahan salin dengan klasifikasi EC (Electrical Conductivity) mencapai 4 dS/m, sedangkan air irigasi termasuk kategori salin pada EC 2 dS/m. Cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani di Indonesia karena memiliki beberapa manfaat kesehatan yang salah satunya adalah zat capsaicin yang berfungsi dalam mengendalikan penyakit kanker Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.) terhadap tingkat konsentrasi NaCl pada pasir. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan April 2022 sampai bulan Agustus 2022 di Rumah Produksi Kawasan Sistem Pertanian Terpadu (SITANDU) Curug Kota Serang Banten dan Laboratorium Kawasan Sistem Pertanian Terpadu (SITANDU) Curug Kota Serang Banten. Penelitian disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga ulangan dan terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah varietas cabai merah yang terdiri dari tiga taraf, yaitu Gantari, Lingga dan Ciko. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi garam NaCl terdiri dari lima taraf, yaitu 0 ppm, 2.500 ppm, 5.000 ppm, 7.500 ppm dan 10.000 ppm. Parameter yang diamati, yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), jumlah bunga (tangkai), umur bunga (HST), bobot basah akar (g), bobot kering akar (g), jumlah buah panen pertama (g), bobot buah (g) dan ISC. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa cekaman salinitas berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman umur 21 HST dan 28 HST, jumlah daun 28 HST, jumlah bunga, umur bunga, bobot basah akar, bobot kering akar, jumlah buah dan bobot buah panen pertama. Penggunaan tiga varietas cabai merah tergolong toleran toleran terhadap cekaman salinitas, ditunjukan berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Indeks Sensitivitas Cekaman (ISC). Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan varietas tanaman cabai merah dengan cekaman salinitas terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 28 HST, jumlah daun 28 HST dan umur bunga. | |||||||||
