Abstract
IAN HARSA NUGRAHA. 4442131133. The Effect of Used Different Types Of Mulch and Compost Fertilizer Dosage To Growth And The Yield Of Tomato Plant (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill). Guided by Putra Utama and Imas Rohmawati. This research was aimed to know the effect of various types of mulch and compost doses to the growth and yield of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.). The research was conducted in wetland of Pakalongan Village, Pandeglang Sub-district, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province from February to June 2017. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was various types of mulch, with three levels: No mulch, straw mulch, and black silver plastic mulch. The second factor was dosage of compost fertilizer, with four levels: without fertilizer, 20 ton/hectar, 30 ton/hectar, and 40 ton/hectar. Thus, there were 12 combination treatments and replicated 3 times. The result showed that the used of straw mulch treatment gave significant effect on plant height 1 week after planting (15,26 cm), plant height 2 week after planting (19,52 cm), plant height 3 week after planting (24,28 cm), amount of branch (8,61 branches), amount of fruit (3.75 pieces), and fruit weight per plant (122.14 grams). The treatment of compost doses showed not significant effect on all parameters. There was an interaction between the treatment of mulch types and compost doses on the parameters amount of fruit, the weight of the fruit per plant, and the weight of the fruit per plot. Di bawah bimbingan Putra Utama dan Imas Rohmawati. Tanaman Tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) merupakan salah satu komoditi hortikultura yang cukup diminati masyarakat karena memiliki banyak manfaat, khususnya di bidang kesehatan yaitu memiliki banyak kandungan gizi, diantaranya vitamin C, A, K, B1, B3, B6,E, Kalium, Folat, dan Serat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di lahan sawah Desa Kadomas Kampung Pakalongan Kecamatan Pandeglang Kabupaten Pandeglang Provinsi Banten pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) secara factorial. Faktor pertama yaitu penggunaan berbagai jenis mulsa, dengan 3 taraf : Tanpa mulsa, mulsa jerami, dan mulsa plastik hitam perak. Faktor kedua yaitu pemberian dosis pupuk kompos, dengan 4 taraf : tanpa pupuk, 20 ton/hektar, 30 ton/hektar, dan 40 ton/hektar. Terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 36 satuan percobaan. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah, bobot buah pertanaman, dan bobot buah per petakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan mulsa jerami berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah, dan bobot buah pertanaman. Pemberian dosis pupuk kompos tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan penggunaan berbagai jenis mulsa dan dosis pupuk kompos pada parameter jumlah buah, bobot buah per tanaman, dan bobot buah per pet | |||||||||
