Abstract

This study aims to determine the development and feasibility of audio-visual learning videos based on contextual teaching and learning, as well as students' responses to audio-visual learning videos based on contextual teaching and learning on food technology material. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) from Borg & Gall. This development only uses 6 steps out of 10 steps; this is because researchers only conduct research at one educational institution (school) and see the limited time, effort, and costs of researchers. Product assessment for the feasibility test of audio-visual learning videos based on contextual teaching and learning was carried out by three experts, namely media experts, linguists, and material experts, with the target of limited-scale product trials, namely class IIIB MIN 1 Tangerang City, a total of 30 people. The results of feasibility testing of contextual teaching and learningbased videos after going through expert validation show the following results: (a) media validation results obtained a value of 80%; (b) language validation results obtained a value of 82%; and (c) the results of the material validation obtained a value of 76.5%. Then the feasibility value of the learning video is 79.5%. This shows that the feasibility of learning videos based on contextual teaching and learning is included in the "appropriate" category. Thus, this learning video can be used by students to help the learning process, which involves more illustrations in the surrounding environment on food production technology material. Students in class III B MIN 1 Tangerang City responded to learning videos based on contextual teaching and learning based on product trials with a questionnaire percentage value of 90.6%, placing them in the "Very Good" category. The results of the student response questionnaire show that students are enthusiastic about the learning process with contextual learning video media.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan video pembelajaran audio visual berbasis contextual teaching and learning, serta mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap video pembelajaran audio visual berbasis contextual teaching and learning materi teknologi pangan. Metode yang diguakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RnD) dari Borg & Gall. Pengembangan ini hanya menggunakan 6 langkah dari 10 langkah, hal ini dikarenakan peneliti hanya melakukan penelitian pada satu lembaga pendidikan (sekolah) serta melihat adanya keterbatasan waktu, tenaga dan biaya peneliti. Penilaian produk untuk uji kelayakan video pembelajaran audio visual berbasis contextual teaching and learning dilakukan oleh 3 ahli yaitu ahli media, ahli bahasa dan ahli materi dengan sasaran uji coba produk skala terbatas yaitu siswa kelas IIIB MIN 1 Kota Tangerang yang berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil pengujian kelayakan video pembelajaran berbasis contextual teaching and learning setelah melalui validasi ahli, menunjukan hasil sebagai berikut: (a) hasil validasi media memperoleh nilai 80%; (b) hasil validasi bahasa memperoleh nilai 82%; dan (c) hasil validasi materi memperoleh nilai 76,5%. Maka didapatkan nilai kelayakan video pembelajaran 79,5%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kelayakan video pembelajaran berbasis contextual teaching and learning termasuk ke dalam kategori “Layak”. Dengan demikian, video pembelajaran ini bisa digunakan siswa untuk membantu proses pembelajaran yang lebih melibatkan ilustrasi di lingkungan sekitar pada materi teknologi produksi pangan. Respons peserta didik terhadap video pembelajaran berbasis contextual teaching and learning berdasarkan uji coba produk pada kelas III B MIN 1 Kota Tangerang mendapatkan nilai persentase angket respons sebesar 90,6% yang masuk ke dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Hasil angket respons peserta didik menunjukan bahwa peserta didik antusias terhadap proses pembelajaran dengan media video pembelajaran konstektual.
