Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the result of student learning of class III in SDN Panancangan 2 on simple writing material written, executed in August 2017. The data retrieval technique is by testing the normality, if the data is not normal then use Mannwhitney U test. The research method used is quasi experiment with research sample is student class III B and III A with purposive sampling technique. The average pretest in the experimental class is 44,56 while in the control class 55,60. After the learning process using comic media without text in the wxperimental class obtained the average posstest 64,10 while in the class that uses the image media in the control class 58,37. The application of comic media whithout text is better and can be seen from the result of t test result of two parties with t count > t table that is 3,76 > 2,00. In the control class and experimental class have significantly different learning out comes. So it can be concluded that the ability of short story writing skills of student who use the media without text comics better than students who do not use learning media

| Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa kelas III di SDN Panancangan 2 pada materi menulis karangan sederhana, dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2017. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu dengan cara menguji normalitas, apabila data tidak normal maka menggunakan uji U Mann-Whitney. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas III B dan III A dengan teknik purposive sampling. Rata-rata pretest pada kelas eksperimen adalah 44,56 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol 55,60. Setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran menggunakan media komik tanpa teks pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata posttest 64,10 sedangkan pada kelas yang menggunakan media gambar pada kelas kontrol 58,37. Penerapan media komik tanpa teks lebih baik dan dapat dilihat dari hasil dari hasil hitung uji-t dua pihak dengan hasil t hitung > t tabel yaitu 3,76 > 2,00. Pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen memiliki hasil belajar yang berbeda signifikan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa yang menggunakan media komik tanpa teks lebih baik di banding dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran. | |||||||||
