Abstract

This research is motivated by the low use of digital teaching materials in elemental chemistry. Students experience difficulties in learning elemental chemistry material because here are many concepts that must be memorized, so learning media is needed that is able to support students in learning elemental chemistry material which is presented in a fun and not monotonous game. This study aims to produce an android based chemistry learning media on elementary chemistry material oriented to Education for Sustainable Development that is feasible and practical. This research uses R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model. The stages of the research carried out are analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The end result of developing this learning media is in the form of a CML (Chemistry Mobile Learning) application. The validation assessment from material experts and media experts with an error rate of 5% obtained Vcount Vtable (Vtable = 0,79). Based on the validation results of material experts and media experts obtained 0,91 and 0,93 which are in the “Valid” category. The results of student responses to the use of this learning media were 91% in the “Very Good” category. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of Android-based CML learning media on Elemental Chemistry material is feasible and practical to use as a chemistry learning media.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya penggunaan bahan ajar digital pada materi kimia unsur. Peserta didik kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi kimia unsur karena banyak konsep yang perlu dihafalkan, sehingga dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang mampu menunjang peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi kimia unsur yang disajikan dengan sebuah permainan menyenangkan dan tidak monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran kimia berbasis android pada materi kimia unsur dengan berorientasi pada Education for Sustainable Development yang layak dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan R&D (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Hasil akhir dari pengembangan media pembelajaran ini berupa aplikasi CML (Chemistry Mobile Learning). Penilaian validasi dari ahli materi dan ahli media dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% diperoleh Vhitung ≥ Vtabel (Vtabel = 0,79). Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media yang diperoleh sebesar 0,91 dan 0,93 yang berada pada kategori “Valid”. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran ini sebesar 91% berada pada kategori “Sangat Baik”. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran CML berbasis android pada materi Kimia Unsur layak dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia.
