Abstract
The purpose of research was to determine the ability of student’s critical thinking and psychomotor through practical activities based on guided inquiry in subconcepts plants growth and development. The method used is descriptive method, the ability of student’s critical thinking measured by essay test, while the psychomotor skill measured by observation sheet as an instrument. This research was conducted in grade eight A of junior high school 3 Padeglang wich amounted to 34 persons. Sampling techniques by simple random sampling. Based on the research result showed 68% of student has critical thinking ability on the critical category, 20% of student has critical thinking ability on the very critical category, 9% of student has critical thinking ability on the fairly critical category and 3% of student has critical thinking ability on the less critical category. In addition, the average value of student’s psychomotor abilities as user were 79% including good category.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis dan psikomotor siswa melalui kegiatan praktikum berbasis guided inquiry pada subkonsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan soal kemampuan berpikir kritis dan lembar observasi psikomotor sebagai instrumen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VIII SMPN 3 Pandeglang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 3 Padeglang berjumlah 34 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan 68% siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategori kritis, 20% siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategori kritis sekali, 9% siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategorti cukup kritis dan 3% siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategori kurang kritis. Adapun rata-rata kemampuan psikomototor siswa sebesar 79% termasuk kategori baik. | |||||||||
