Abstract

Green chemistry needs to be applied in chemistry learning, bearing in mind that there are still many uses of hazardous chemicals and can pollute the environment. In chemistry it is also important to apply Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) so students can use chemistry concepts to solve environmental problems and create environmental awareness for future generations. An example of implementing green & sustainable chemistry, namely solar cells, which are alternative renewable energy, can be studied in high school chemistry practicum activities. The application of green and sustainable chemistry-based learning requires a medium that uses technology that is easily accessible and attractive. For this reason, the development of green and sustainable chemistry-based learning media using the web can be used as a solution to this problem. This study aims to develop learning media based on green and sustainable chemistry as a medium that can help students understand solar cell material. This research uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the validity of media and material experts show that learning media is valid and very feasible in terms of graphic feasibility, language feasibility, content eligibility, presentation feasibility, and green chemistry. The results of student responses were very good towards learning media based on the results of trials of 35 students. This means that learning media based on green and sustainable chemistry using the web on solar cell material is suitable for use in learning.

Additional Information: Green chemistry perlu diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kimia, mengingat masih banyaknya penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Dalam kimia juga pentingnya penerapan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) agar siswa dapat menggunakan konsep kimia untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan lingkungan sekitar dan menciptakan kesadaran lingkungan demi generasi mendatang. Adapun contoh penerapan green & sustainable chemistry yaitu sel surya yang merupakan energi alternatif terbarukan, dapat dipelajari dalam kegiatan praktikum kimia SMA. Penerapan pembelajaran berbasis green and sustainable chemistry dibutuhkan suatu media yang menggunakan teknologi yang mudah diakses dan menarik. Untuk itu pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis green and sustainable chemistry menggunakan web dapat dijadikan solusi dalam permasalahan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis green and sustainable chemistry sebagai media yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi sel surya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil validitas ahli media dan materi menunjukkan media pembelajaran valid dan sangat layak dalam aspek kelayakan kegrafikan, kelayakan Bahasa, kelayakan isi materi, kelayakan penyajian, dan green chemistry. Hasil respon siswa sangat baik terhadap media pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil uji coba 35 siswa. Dengan ini disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis green and sustainable chemistry menggunakan web pada materi sel surya layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
