Abstract

Generator is a device that can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Generator propulsion can be obtained from renewable energy in the form of wind or water. The generator has many design variations ranging from the selection of the type of winding, the selection of materials and the combination of the number of pole slots. The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of changing the slot-pole combination. The tests carried out are simulating the variation of the slot-pole design on the generator characteristic curve. The best slot-pole design results are 12S8P and 15S8P, with efficiencies ranging between 87% and 85%, then with an output power of 1377.56 W and 1108.88 W. Current values for the 12S8P model are 8.26 A and for the 15S8P model namely 8.86 A. The voltage value for the 12S8P model is 165.26 V and for the 15S8P model is 177.25 V. The torque value for the 12S8P model is 20.37 Nm and 15S8P is 17.51 Nm.

Additional Information: Generator merupakan sebuah alat yang dapat mengubah energi mekanik menjadi energi listrik. Penggerak generator dapat diperoleh dari energi terbarukan berupa angin atau air. Generator tersebut memiliki banyak variasi desain mulai dari pemilihan jenis lilitan, pemilihan material dan kombinasi jumlah slot pole. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh perubahan kombinasi slot-pole tersebut. Pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu mensimulasikan variasi desain slot-pole terhadap kurva karakteristik generator. Hasil desain slot-pole terbaik yaitu 12S8P dan 15S8P, dengan efisiensi berkisar antara 87% dan 85%, kemudian dengan daya keluaran yaitu 1377,56 W dan 1108,88 W. Nilai arus untuk model 12S8P yaitu 8,26 A dan model 15S8P yaitu 8,86 A. Nilai tegangan untuk model 12S8P yaitu 165,26 V dan model 15S8P yaitu 177,25 V. Nilai torsi untuk model 12S8P yaitu 20,37 Nm dan 15S8P yaitu 17,51 Nm.
