Abstract
Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) has an increasing number of students every year, causing traffic jams. One way to overcome this problem is to know the characteristics of student movements in traveling, especially in choosing the mode of transportation to be used. This study aims to observe the characteristics of transportation users traveling to campus and to analyze a mode selection model, which can explain the probability of students choosing a mode of transportation. This research was conducted with data from observations, questionnaire results, literature review, and data processing using the SPSS program with the Stated Preference method and the binomial logit model. The attributes used are cost (X1), travel time (X2), service convenience (X3), safety and security (X4). The results of the survey data The characteristics of the respondents in this study were 68% of the respondents were female with the majority of the age range 21-23 years as much as 71% and the majority of respondents who mostly came from the faculties of economics and business by 39%, more respondents traveled to campus in 20-40 minutes by 46%, the mode of transportation most often used to visit campus is a motorcycle, reaching 54%. Travel time is the factor that most influences the choice of mode of transportation. The reason for choosing a mode is that many respondents choose a mode of transportation based on the fare attribute for private transport, namely 72.1% and for public transportation, namely 27.9%. Based on the time attribute, the probability of students choosing private transportation is 71.2% and public transportation is 28.8%. Based on the convenience attribute, the probability of students choosing private transportation is 71.6% and public transportation is 28.4%. Based on safety and security attributes, the probability of students choosing private transportation is 74% and public transportation is 26%. | Additional Information: | ABSTRAK Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) mengalami peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa setiap tahunnya sehingga menyebabkan kemacetan lalu lintas. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut ialah dengan memahami karakteristik pergerakan mahasiswa saat melaksanakan perjalanan terutama ketika menentukan moda transportasi yang ingin dipakai. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengamati karakteristik perjalanan pengguna transportasi menuju kampus serta menganalisis suatu model pemilihan moda, yang bisa menerangkan probabilitas mahasiswa saat memilih moda transportasi. Riset dilaksanakan dengan data dari hasil pengamatan, hasil angket, kajian literatur, dan pengolahan data mempergunakan program SPSS bermetodekan Stated Preference dan model logit binomial. Atribut yang digunakan ialah biaya (X1), waktu perjalanan (X2), kenyamanan pelayanan (X3), keselamatan dan keamanan (X4). Hasil dari data survei Karakteristik responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 68% responden berjenis kelamin wanita dengan mayoritas rentang usia 21 – 23 tahun sebanyak 71% dan mayoritas responden yang paling banyak dari fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis sebesar 39%, responden lebih banyak menempuh perjalanan ke kampus dalam waktu 20-40 menit sebesar 46%, moda transportasi yang tersering dipakai supaya menuju kampus ialah sepeda motor, sampai mencapai 54%. Waktu tempuh ialah faktor yang paling mempengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi. Alasan pemilihan moda banyaknya responden memilih moda transportasi berdasarkan atribut tarif untuk angkutan pribadi yaitu 72,1% dan untuk angkutan umum yaitu sebesar 27,9%. Berdasarkan atribut waktu probabilitas mahasiswa dalam memilih angkutan pribadi yaitu sebesar 71,2% dan angkutan umum yaitu sebesar 28,8%. Berdasarkan atribut kenyamanan probabilitas mahasiswa dalam memilih angkutan pribadi yaitu sebesar 71,6% dan angkutan umum yaitu sebesar 28,4%. Berdasarkan atribut keselamatan dan keamanan probabilitas mahasiswa dalam memilih angkutan pribadi yaitu sebesar 74% dan angkutan umum sebesar 26%. | |||||||||
