Abstract

This research is based on the importance of teacher competence, including personality competence as a role model in applying the character of discipline. This study has a goal of how the teacher's personality competence in applying the character of discipline, especially the process of strengthening the character of discipline in students through providing examples in learning activities, supporting factors and inhibiting factors for strengthening the character of discipline in students, and the discipline character of students at MI Mambul Hikam Binglu after exemplary. This research itself uses a qualitative descriptive research type and the research subjects are fourth grade teachers and students. The data collection tools used are observation, interviews, and documentation as well as descriptive analysis. In general, the results of the study showed that the teacher's personality competence in applying disciplined characters in class IV MI Mambaul Hikam Binglu was good. It can be seen in the process of strengthening the character of discipline in students carried out by grade IV teachers at the school which is quite good, because the resource persons have given good examples to students in learning activities such as providing examples and directions to students. In addition, the supporting and inhibiting factors for strengthening the discipline character carried out by resource persons at the school indicate that there are several supporting factors that influence, one of which is parents who are able to work well together and the inhibiting factor is seen from some parents who are less able to monitor their children. related to the assigned task. For the disciplined character of students, after giving an example by the fourth grade teacher, it is quite good. This can be seen from the daily life of students who can obey existing regulations and obey the teacher's orders.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini berlandaskan akan pentingnya kompetensi guru, termasuk kompetensi kepribadian merupakan role model dalam menerapkan karakter disiplin. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan bagaimana kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam menerapkan karakter disiplin, khususnya proses penguatan karakter disiplin pada peserta didik melalui pemberian keteladanan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, faktor penunjang dan faktor penghambat penguatan karakter disiplin pada peserta didik, dan karakter disiplin peserta didik di MI Mambul Hikam Binglu setelah pemberian keteladanan. Penelitian ini sendiri menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas IV dan peserta didik. Adapun alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi serta analisis deskriptif. Pada hasil penelitian secara umum kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam menerapkan karakter disiplin di kelas IV MI Mambaul Hikam Binglu sudah baik. Dapat terlihat pada proses penguatan karakter disiplin pada peserta didik yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas IV di sekolah tersebut sudah cukup baik, karena narasumber sudah memberikan keteladanan yang baik kepada peserta didik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran seperti memberikan contoh dan arahan kepada peserta didik. Selain itu, faktor penunjang dan penghambat penguatan karakter disiplin yang dilakukan oleh narsumber di sekolah tersebut menunjukkan ada beberapa faktor penunjang yang mempengaruhi, salah satunya yaitu orang tua yang mampu diajak bekerja sama dengan baik serta faktor penghambat dilihat dari beberapa orang tua yang kurang untuk memantau anaknya terkait tugas yang diberikan. Untuk karakter disiplin peserta didik, setelah pemberian keteladanan oleh guru kelas IV sudah cukup baik. Hal demikian dilihat dari keseharian peserta didik yang dapat mematuhi peraturan yang ada dan mentaati perintah guru.
