Abstract

The biodiversity of Lepidopteran pollinating insect of Gunung Pinang sanctuary was studied using standard walk method. Observations were conducted at three given locations based on its latitude and kind of vegetation. Eight species of Lepidopteran insect were recorded and noted as a new record of Gunung Pinang sanctuary. Considering of species presence, only Ypthima pandocus (Nymphalidae) which consintently found at all locations. Biodiversity of pollinating insect could be used as one of conservation strategy because it has an ecological values, especially on plant ’s dispersion by the pollination processes in Gunung Pinang ecosystem.
