Abstract

Bogor district is one of the production centers of taro tubers in Indonesia. One of the biggest taro producers in the Bogor district area is the Cijeruk sub-district. Cipelang Village is a village that has the largest taro tubers production in the Cijeruk sub-district. The problem for Cipelang taro farmers is the considerable price difference between the price received by farmers and the price paid by consumers. This study aims to analyze marketing channels, costs, margins, profit marketing, function and role of the marketing agency and efficiency marketing. The research method is a survey and the types of research are qualitative and quantitative. Methods of data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of taking respondents using census for farmers and snowball sampling for marketing agencies. Data processing techniques use costs, margin, profit, and efficiency marketing analysis. Based on research, there are two marketing channels in Cipelang Village. Channel 1 (farmers-consumers) and Channel 2 (farmers-collectors-retailers-consumers). The total costs for channel 1 are Rp. 100/kg and channel 2 is Rp. 850/kg. The total marketing margin for channel 1 is 0 and channel 2 is Rp. 17,000/kg. The total profit for channel 1 is Rp. 7,900/kg and channel 2 is Rp. 16,150/kg. The marketing functions used are exchange, physical, and facility functions. The research data concludes that the first channel is more efficient than the second one because it has a lower technical efficiency value than the second. As well as having a greater economic efficiency value compared to the second marketing channel.

Additional Information: Kabupaten Bogor merupakan salah satu sentra produksi umbi talas di Indonesia. Salah satu penghasil talas terbesar di wilayah Kabupaten Bogor adalah Kecamatan Cijeruk. Desa Cipelang merupakan desa yang memiliki produksi umbi talas terbesar di kecamatan Cijeruk. Permasalahan yang dihadapi petani talas Cipelang adalah adanya perbedaan harga yang cukup tinggi antara harga yang diterima petani dengan harga yang dibayar konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis saluran pemasaran, biaya, margin, keuntungan pemasaran, fungsi dan peran lembaga pemasaran serta efisiensi pemasaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dan jenis penelitiannya adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri atas observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan responden menggunakan sensus untuk petani dan snowball sampling untuk lembaga pemasaran. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan analisis biaya, margin, keuntungan, dan efisiensi pemasaran. Berdasarkan penelitian, terdapat dua bentuk saluran pemasaran di Desa Cipelang. Saluran 1 (petani-konsumen) dan Saluran 2 (petani-pedagang pengumpul-pedagang pengecer-konsumen). Total biaya pemasaran saluran 1 sebesar Rp100/kg dan saluran 2 Rp850/kg. Total margin pemasaran saluran 1 adalah 0 dan saluran 2 Rp17.000/kg. Total keuntungan pemasaran saluran 1 sebesar Rp7.900/kg dan saluran 2 Rp16.150/kg. Fungsi pemasaran yang digunakan adalah fungsi pertukaran, fisik, dan fasilitas. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa saluran pertama lebih efisien daripada saluran kedua karena memiliki nilai efisiensi teknis yang lebih rendah daripada saluran kedua. Serta memiliki nilai efisiensi ekonomi yang lebih besar dibandingkan saluran pemasaran kedua.
