Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving Students’ Learning Outcomes at the Six Grade of Elementary School on Science by Using Model of Cooperative Learning (Type of Picture and Picture) (Classroom Action Research at the Six Grade Students of SDN 3 Sentul) Istiqomah Eka Diyanti (2227110104) The purpose of this research is to improve students’ learning outcomes andlearning activities using learning model of cooperative learning, type of picture and picture until it reaches at least 80%. The researcher is using Classroom Action Research (CAR), where in every cycle consisted of two meetings, each cycle was done with four phase. The phase are planning phase, implementation phase, observation phase and reflection phase. The data collection technique in this study is using instruments test, observations of teacher and students’ learning activities. In the first and second meeting of the first cycle, the number of students who attended the class was 34 students, while the number of students in the second cycle was 35 students. By the implementation of cooperative learning model, type of picture and picture, students’ learning activities and learning outcome increased. In the first cycle, the average of students’ learning activities was 67% and in the second cycle increased to be 87%. Likewise, the average of student learning outcomes, from 70.5% in the first cycle increased to be 87.6% in the second cycle. So the conclusions can be drawn from this study that the implementation of cooperative learning model, type of picture and picture can increase students’ learning activities and learning model, type of picture and picture can increase students’ learning activities and learning outcomes on Civics subject in six grade of Elementary School Sentul 3.
