Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF USING WORD WALL TOWARD STUDENTS READING COMPREHENSION AT EIGHTH GRADE OF SMPN 1 PONTANG By ISTIANAH 2223102955 The purpose of this research was to find out whether there is the influence of using word wall toward students reading comprehension at eighth grade of SMPN 1 Pontang. The method of this research was an experimental research in which the writer observed and gave the treatment for reading comprehension. The population of the research were the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Pontang which consists of 55 students as a sample. In this experimental research, the writer used the pre-test and post-test to collecting the quantitative data. The students seen very enthusiast and interested when they used word wall as a media, they always follow the teacher’s instruction very well. The pre-test used to know the students ability in reading comprehension before give the treatment, and the post-test used to know the increasing of the students after give the treatment (by using word wall).
