Abstract
This research was conducted aiming to find out what are the factors that influence employment in the Western Region of Indonesia. Where the variables used in this study are the minimum wage, foreign investment, domestic investment, education, and economic growth. The data used in this study consists of the years 2014 to 2020. This research uses the Panel GMM (Generalized Method of Moment) method. As for the test results in this study, namely the minimum wage, domestic investment, education, and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on employment in the western region of Indonesia. Meanwhile, foreign foreign capital has a negative and insignificant effect on employment in the Western Region of Indonesia.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kawasan Barat Indonesia. Dimana variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu upah minimum, penanaman modal asing, penanaman modal dalam negeri, pendidikan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdiri dari tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2020. penelitian ini menggunakan metode Panel GMM (Generalized Method of Moment). Adapun hasil pengujian dalam penelitian ini yaitu upah minimum, penanaman modal dalam negeri, pendidikan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kawasan Barat Indonesia. Sedangkan penanaman modal asing memiliki pengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kawasan Barat Indonesia. | |||||||||
