Abstract

This study aims to determine how using the Kahoot application in English learning improves Tenth-grade students' learning outcomes and engagement at SMK Ar-Rahmaniyah. This research used a quantitative researchmethod by implementing a quasi-experimental research design and using data collection techniques in the form of tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the result of the research, Cronbach's Alpha has a value of 0.87, which means the data was reliable. The development of the calculation normality pre-test experimental class was 0.213. And normality test of the post-test control class was 0.58. The calculation result showed that the homogeneity of the experimental class was 0.065, and the homogeneity test of the control class showed that the homogeneity was 0.415. The calculation showed the result of tcount is higher than ttable (3.430 >2.03951) with a significance of 0.05 (5%).Itmeansthat the experimental and control classes' data was normally distributed normally in homogenous. The results of this study are the Kahoot application can improve students' learning outcomes and also make the students more excited about learning English, especially for student engagement in the tenth-grade of SMK Ar- Rahmaniyah. Keywords: English Learning, Kahoot, Learning outcomes, Student Engagement, Quantitative Research.
