Abstract

The limited land with good soil quality results in the infrastructure being built in areas with unfavorable soil characteristics. development. Soil with unfavorable characteristics one of which is swamp land. Swamp soil needs to be stabilized if we want to make a building on the land, the stabilizing material used can be in the form of siliceous waste or other binding materials. In this test steel slag, fly ash and glass bottle powder were used as the main stabilizing agent, with a fixed percentage of 20% steel slag and 20% fly ash, and glass bottle powder as the independent variable with percentages of 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% and with aging time of 0, 3, and 7 days. Testing the characteristics of Situ Rawa Arum, Jl. Kp. Tegal Wangi No. 62, Kec. Gerogol, Cilegon City, Banten has unfavorable characteristics, in the form of a liquid limit value of 59%, plastic limit of 35.87% and a plasticity index of 23.13%. After stabilization using steel slag waste, fly ash and glass bottle powder, there was a significant change. The most optimum change occurred in a mixture of 20% steel slag + 20% fly ash + 5% glass bottle powder with liquid limit, plastic limit, plasticity index of 10%, and california bearing ratio of 35.19%.

Additional Information: Terbatasnya lahan yang memiliki kualitas tanah yang baik mengkibatkan infrastruktur yang di bangun berada pada daerah dengan karakteristik tanah yang kurang baik tidak dapat dihindari, kualitas tanah memegang peranan penting dalam pembangunan infrastruktur sehingga perlu memperhatikan sifat fisis dan jenis tanah, serta kualitas tanah yang ada pada area pembangunan. Tanah dengan karakteristik kurang baik salah satunya adalah tanah rawa. Tanah rawa perlu dilakukan stabilisasi apabila kita ingin membuat sesuatu bangunan diatas lahan tersebut, bahan stabilisasi yang digunakan dapat berupa limbah yang mengandung silika ataupun bahan pengikat lainya. Dalam pengujian ini digunakan limbah steel slag, fly ash dan serbuk botol kaca sebagai bahan utama stabilisasi, dengan persentase tetap berupa 20% steel slag dan 20% fly ash, dan serbuk botol kaca sebagai variabel bebas dengan persentase 0%, 5%, 10% dan 15% serta dengan lama pemeraman 0, 3, dan 7 hari. Pengujian karakteristik Situ Rawa Arum, Jl. Kp. Tegal Wangi No.62, Kec. Gerogol, Kota Cilegon, Banten memiliki karakteristik yang kurang baik, berupa nilai batas cair sebesar 59%, batas plastis 35,87% dan memiliki indeks plastisitas 23,13%. Setelah dilakukan stabilisasi menggunakan limbah steel slag, fly ash dan serbuk botol kaca, terjadi perubahan yang signifikan. Perubahan paling optimum terjadi pada campuran 20% steel slag + 20% fly ash + 5% serbuk botol kaca dengan nilai batas cair , batas plastis , indeks plastisitas 10% , dan california bearing ratio sebesar 35,19%.
