Abstract
21st century learning requires students to have high-order thinking skills, be able to solve complex problems to face the globalization era and face future challenges, therefore students can be equipped with higher�order thinking skills which are supported through learning evaluation in the final semester assessment. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage value of HOTS type questions in the final semester assessment question papers and to obtain categorical data, the characteristics of HOTS questions in the final semester assessment item texts. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The type of research carried out in this study used a case study type of research. The instrument in this study was a list of criteria for evaluating items based on indicators and levels of Bloom's taxonomy. The results of the research based on the category of PAS IPA questions were dominated by questions on the cognitive level of LOTS rather than HOTS, because teachers did not understand about making HOTS questions and there was no training on HOTS at school so there was a lack of knowledge and making HOTS-based questions. So there are 7.5% of HOTS PAS IPA questions, 4.1% of MOTS type questions and 50.8% of LOTS type questions. Characteristics of questions that support critical thinking are 5%, questions that support problem solving abilities are 2.5% and no characteristics of creative thinking abilities are found

Additional Information: | Pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, mampu memecahkan masalah yang kompleks untuk menghadapi era globalisasi menghadapi tantangan di masa depan, oleh karena itu peserta didik dapat dibekali dengan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang didukung melalui evaluasi pembelajaran dalam penilaian akhir semester. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai persentase soal tipe HOTS pada naskah soal penilaian akhir semester dan untuk memperoleh data kategori, karakteristik soal HOTS pada naskah soal penilaian akhir semester. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian studi kasus, instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah daftar kriteria penilaian butir soal berdasarkan indikator dan tingkatan taksonomi Bloom. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan kategori soal PAS IPA didominasi oleh soal tingkat kognitif LOTS dari pada HOTS, karena guru belum memahami mengenai pembuatan soal HOTS dan belum ada pelatihan mengenai HOTS di sekolah sehingga minimnya pengetahuan dan pembuatan soal berbasis HOTS. Maka soal PAS IPA tipe HOTS terdapat sebesar 7,5%, soal tipe MOTS sebesar 4,1% dan soal tipe LOTS sebesar 50,8%. Karakteristik soal yang menunjang berpikir kritis sebesar 5%, soal yang menunjang kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah sebesar 2,5% dan tidak ditemukan karakteristik kemampuan berpikir kreatif. | |||||||||
