Abstract

Rice is the most important staple food in Indonesia, because almost every community consumes it. Therefore, the availability of rice products is always available every time and the yield of rice production in each region always increases. To increase rice production one way is to use production factors in accordance with the recommendations for optimal efficiency and results. The purposes of the study are to analyze the use of factors in the production of land area, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and labor that influence the production of paddy rice and to analyze the efficiency of the use of rice production factors in Sukajaya Village, Pontang District. The samples taken were 31 respondents by census method. The analysis used is the Cobb-Douglass production function and multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 21 computer application assistance. Simultaneous hypothesis test results obtained a sign value of 0.000 <0.005, which means that all independent variables influence the production of lowland rice. partially, the production factor that has a significant effect on the production of paddy rice is the variable land area. while the variables of seeds, urea, pesticides and labor did not significantly affect the production of lowland rice. the use of factors in the production of land area and urea fertilizer has not been efficient so that additional inputs need to be made, while the use of factors in the production of seeds, pesticides and labor is inefficient so it is necessary to reduce inputs.
