Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of investment knowledge on student investment interest, to identify the effect of minimal capital on student investment interest on student investment interest, to identify the effect of social media in moderating the relationship of investment knowledge to student investment interest, and to identify the influence of social media in moderate the relationship between minimum investment capital and student investment interest. The method used is a quantitative approach. The research population is active students at universities in Banten Province. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained as many as 135 respondents who met the sample criteria. Data collection used a questionnaire in the form of a google form with a total of eighteen questions, which were then processed and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS), namely smartPLS. The results showed that investment knowledge had no effect on student investment interest, minimal capital had an effect on student investment interest, social media could not moderate the relationship between investment knowledge and student investment interest, social media could not moderate the relationship between minimal investment capital and student investment interest. Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pengetahuan investasi terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh modal minimal terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh media sosial dalam memoderasi hubungan pengetahuan investasi terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, dan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh media sosial dalam memoderasi hubungan modal minimal investasi terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa aktif di perguruan tinggi Provinsi Banten. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 135 responden yang memenuhi kriteria sampel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang berbentuk google form dengan total delapan belas pertanyaan, yang kemudian diolah dan dianalisis dengan Partial Least Square (PLS) yaitu smartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan investasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, modal minimal berpengaruh terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, media sosial tidak dapat memoderasi hubungan pengetahuan investasi terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa, media sosial tidak dapat memoderasi hubungan modal minimal investasi terhadap minat investasi mahasiswa.
